lally acoustical consulting is a firm dedicated to the highest technical standards and providing unrivaled client service. We strive to develop the most effective and practical solutions possible to otherwise complex noise and vibration issues. The result is a firm with large company capabilities, and small company attention to detail.

lally acoustical consulting is a certified Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) in New York City and New York State and is an Approved Noise Consultant with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP).

emily lally consults on a variety of project types including schools and universities, offices, residential, religious facilities, healthcare, labs, performance spaces, audio system intelligibility, athletic facilities, and aircraft, train and traffic noise.

Emily holds a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, a B.Eng. in Mech. Eng. from SUNY Stony Brook, and has attended advanced courses in structural dynamics and noise control at the Institute for Noise and Vibration Research at the Univ. of Southampton, UK. Previously, she was an Associate Principal at one of the larger acoustical consultancies in NYC. Emily was also named one of Building Design and Construction '40 Under 40' in 2006.

emily lally jonathan lally martin schiff

jonathan lally has experience with numerous project types including architectural acoustics, HVAC noise/vibration, subway vibration and noise, environmental noise modeling, sound-masking and paging, code compliance testing and expert witness testimony.

Jonathan holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College, a B.A. from The New School and has attended advanced courses in structural dynamics and noise control at the Institute for Noise and Vibration Research at the Univ. of Southampton, UK. Previously, he was an Associate Principal at one of the larger acoustical consultancies in NYC. You may also recognize him from New York Magazine 'How Loud is it?'

martin schiff has broad consulting experience in architectural, building services and environmental acoustics. In addition to his practical experience, Martin has published academic research on urban environmental noise and noise from large wind turbines.

Martin holds a M.S. in Sound & Vibration from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. His background includes leading the US office for one of the largest acosutical consutling groups worldwide as well as working as a Senior Consultant for one of the larger acoustical consultancies in NYC. You may recognize him from 'Loud Mouths' on Animal Planet's The Most Extreme.
