In a recent TED Talk, MIT researcher Abe Davis demonstrates <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.ted.com\/abe-davis-incredible-tech-demo-at-ted2015\/\" target=\"_blank\">cutting edge research<\/a> into extracting audio from silent video of everyday objects exposed to sound. Using high-speed video equipment and even a consumer-level camera, he extracts intelligible music and speech just by watching a nearby houseplant or\u00a0a snack bag\u2014the proverbial &#8220;fly on the wall&#8221;.
